A vampire by the name of Finn Moriarty joined the supernatural community of Cork, Ireland, in the last decade, making a few waves in their community as he set up his criminal empire. Many of the supernatural community eventually accepted him and his business, begrudgingly, and he too became a part of normality.
But now something new has come to Cork, upsetting the residents of Cork's supernatural city. For decades they have kept themselves hidden, merging into human life without causing a stir. The latest shapeshifter Clan to move to the City is a Clan of Tigers. Their appearance has brewed many complaints, and for once the other shapeshifters are in agreement; the Tigers are not welcome in Cork.
It is the exotic nature of these new shapeshifters that is raising the most complaints from residents. Foxes, Owls and Wildcats are all native to Ireland, and so humans do not bat an eye if they see one. But a Tiger? The orange fur and stripes that help to camouflage them in the wild do the opposite in the City. Many worry about the threat of exposure now that the Tigers have arrived.
The Tigers are also originally from New York, and not much is known about why they have suddenly moved half way across the world. The Clan Leader claims to have fallen in love with the City after a business trip, but many are unconvinced. Rumours are flying that the Clan once called Brooklyn home, and so the Tigers are being viewed as trouble in more than one way. Many expect these newcomers to join Finn Moriarty's criminal empire.
The question is; are these just rumours or are they justified worries?
OOC VS is an advanced level RPG played in a yahoo group. The playable species are vampires (born and made), shapeshifters (born and made; owls, wildcats, foxes and tigers), witches and humans. Each species is unique to the RPG, taking ideas from a range of sources and resulting in a new take on the myths of the supernatural.
