Autobiography
As a child Yuji was always having trouble following in his older brother's footsteps. Whatever Yuichi did, Yuji had to do better and more often. Whether it was something as simple as getting a high grade on the exams, or winning the regional spelling bee. Needless to say this put a lot of pressure on the young boy and Yuji often found himself depressed when he couldn't do what his big brother did, because he wasn't the smartest kid in the class or the best one at athletics. He could barely kick a soccer ball without taking someone's head off, or hitting a tennis ball without it knocking someone out. It was always hard for him to control his strength even well before he was changed into a werewolf.
When those troubled teenage years rolled around, he life didn't get any better. It started off with him being bitten at age thirteen. Way to start off the next years, huh? From there everything just started to get worse. His first change was when he got into a fight with another kid during recess; still at age thirteen. The other kid was calling him names and egging him on, begging Yuji to be the first to attack. And he did. Yuji lunged for the kid, mind in shambles from the taunts and from the wolf blood pumping through his veins. Before he'd even hit the kid he had changed. The other kids around them ran screaming as Yuji did what the wolf wanted. He tore into the kid's arms--that were held up to protect himself--until a teacher--disbelieving that the wolf was changed from a child--pulled him off by the scruff of his neck and tossed him a ways away. Yuji was finally able to see what he was and what had happened, and he did the only thing he could do. He ran.
Yuji ran all the way back to his home, and up to his room as silent as he could. There he paced and made himself change back. For the next few days or so he wouldn't come out of his room for anything, or any amount of coaxing. His parents had to just open the door and put his food inside the room for him to eat. They never heard anything of the incident, until Yuichi and Harumi heard of it at school from other kids. They told their parents and coupled with how Yuji had been acting, they had no choice but to at least believe it a little. Instead of talk to him about it, they did what they knew was best and reluctantly moved from their native land of Japan over to America. They went to the east coast rather than stay at the west so that they would be farther from the incident.
This change appeared to help Yuji. He liked the new town in Massachusetts they had gone to. Most of all he liked that there were others like him here. Other werewolves that could help him. That was why his parents had ultimately gone here. They knew what this city entailed.
Yuji went the rest of his middle school and high school years here, making friends and learning his powers and everything about what he was. It helped him tremendously and when he finally graduated high school with his longtime friends he thanked his parents for what they had done.
Ever since he has been living out his life here. His parents eventually moved back to Japan, but Yuji stayed here in America with his band--they aren't sure yet how far they'll go--and now works at the local bar as well as being the rhythm guitarist for his band. They play some venues around Massachusetts, but mostly they're trying to get better to get a record deal just to see how far they could actually go.
Show me what you Got
Yuji knew he had miscalculated. The room swirled in his vision and he could hardly focus. He knew not the difference between the ceiling and the floor anymore. Or the mass of bodies here to watch them tonight that were singing along and dancing with their music. It was hard to think, or keep himself playing. Yuji could feel his pupils dilating and then contracting as he fought to control the wolf in him that was begging to get out. It clawed at his insides, tore at his mind, threatening insanity if he didn't shift here and now. There was no doubt in Yuji's mind that the full moon wasn't tomorrow night, it was tonight. The night they had chosen long ago for them to be playing this venue just outside of town. He should have checked more, been more certain, because this was affecting their performance and they didn't need that right now.
Nariko strutted across stage with his microphone in hand, singing and carrying on as he always did until he reached Yuji's side. A brief "Are you alright?" in between lyrics had Yuji shaking his head, begging with his eyes for Nariko to stop this performance and stop it now. He needed to get offstage and out into the wild where he could change without fear of their fans seeing and having it affect their opinion of the band. "Offstage... now." Yuji forced out, away from his own microphone, as he felt Nariko's fingers dance along his arm, trying to make their conversation not be seen and be hidden by fanservice.
The singer must have seen his urgency because upon getting to the end of the song, Nariko just stopped singing and faked fainting. It was a pretty good imitation of it too, and Yuji thanked him inwardly because the moment the techies were onstage helping him, Yuji dashed off and headed for the exit to the building. He would repay his friend back later when he could, but right now he had only one thing to focus on and that was shifting into his wolf form without being seen by anyone who would recognize him as the guitarist for that band.
