 Everybody knows of asylums. They're places where the insane are held and kept away from society. But at Bakersfield Asylum...that isn't necessarily the case. This is where the "abnormal" call home, even if they don't want to. Everything from lycans and vampires, to witches and elves are kept here. If you have a special ability, or are part of another species, the asylum will want you. At Bakersfield, they don't try to help the patients at all. Their goal is mainly to keep the "super naturals" away from society, and try to figure them out through experiments. The doctors are heartless, only caring about themselves and their work. And some of their work includes electroshock therapy, pumping medications into patients, and testing out new drugs. But if you think that your abilities can help, think again. Once you're checked into the asylum, you're given an anklet that massively downgrades people's powers.
Don't expect to ever get out of the asylum either. Patients are kept here for the rest of their lives, and that even includes children. Bakersfield finds no wrong doing in such things, and in fact, they believe they're doing society a favor by ridding it of abnormals. Numerous times patients have tried to escape, only to fail and endure cruel punishments. And if you're lucky enough to still be out on the streets, you better keep your head low. The asylum has scouts that often go out looking for potential patients. So welcome to Bakersfield, your road to recovery.
